Situated just outside Ciutadella in the nearby countryside, Los Naranjos is a modern villa with several interesting antique features.
It is set in private gardens containing one of the largest orange groves on the island, and it has four bedrooms, a large swimming pool and terrace.
This is the entrance from the road, an amazing old stone carving.

The grounds of the property also include an orange grove.
There are lots of flowers, including bougainvilla, growing against the ancient walls that surround the property, and lovely roses growing on the terrace trellises. The entire property is 10 acres, perfect for strolling.
The grounds also have some unique features, including an ancient irrigation system.
And a historic well, which is situated next to the pool on the large terrace.
The house actually consists of two buildings which were joined together. Two bedrooms are in the main house, and two more bedrooms are accessed via a downstairs terrace. As you enter through the pool area, you find the kitchen, and the very convenient indoor barbecue room.
This is the barbecue room dining area, with an entire wall of windows opening onto the pool and terrace.
Entering further into the house, you find the living room, and the stairway beyond which leads to the master bedroom and one other bedroom. On the way to the stairs, there is a laundry room on the right. From the living room there is a conservatory with a large dining table overlooking the patio, pool and gardens, with sliding doors opening onto the terraces as well.
Here are the master bedroom, and adjoining bedroom. The master bedroom is only accessible via the second.
Here is the second bedroom. The master bathroom adjoins both of these two bedrooms.
From the pool area, you find the annex and two further bedrooms, both with large ensuite bathrooms, opening directly onto a lower terrace.

Bedroom Layout
On the top floor access to the master bedroom (35m2 with king size bed) can only be gained through the twin bedroom (two single beds). The bathroom is in the middle with access from both bedrooms. There is room to place a further two single beds in the master bedroom and turn the twin room into a double. The large downstairs bedrooms are accessed from the outside terrace, one has two single beds and the other has a queen size bed, both have en-suite bathrooms. Nearby Cuitadella is a delightful, authentic Menorcan town which caters for every taste in both shopping and eating. From the main town you can wander through cobbled streets past the many historical houses and small castles, down to the harbour where you can enjoy the ambience of the local nautical scene and sample the Menorcan cuisine, at your leisure.Dining Out
Eating out is an important part of Menorquin life, and there is a wide selection of restaurants and eating-places to choose from. We recommend the following:-§ La Guitara or Cas Ferrer in Cuitadella, for authentic Menorquin cuisine
§ Cafe Balear in the port of Cuitadella, Pizzeria Oristano at the end of the port
§ Es Caliu Grill restaurant - very near the villa on the main road to Cala Blanca
§ For tapas try bar Triton in the harbour
Local Activities
The local beaches or playas are idyllic - quiet, clean and safe. The nearest beaches to the villa are Cala Santandria and Cala Blanca (an easy bicycle-ride); further away Son Saura, Cala Macarella, Cala Galdana and Cala Mitjana are highly recommended and for sailing enthusiasts, Fornells on the North side of the island is a firm favourite.For the more energetic guests there are a range of outdoor sports to choose from - sailing, bicycle hire, horse riding and diving are available around the island.
Menorca is steeped in history and all around the island lay archeological sites such as megaliths (ancient stone monuments), as well as more recent places of interest such as Lord Nelson's and Lady Hamilton's house, and even Richard Branson's luxurious retreat!
